Specialized training for work on Liquefied gas tankers
Three separate courses are carried out in OMTС:- «Specialized Training for work on Oil tankers»
- «Specialized Training for work on Liquefied gas tankers»
- «Specialized Training for work on Chemical tankers»
This courses provide training for masters, chief engineers, officers and any person with immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo. They comprises a specialized training programs appropriate to their duties, including oil, liquefied gas and chemical tank safety, fire safety measures and systems, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations. This courses are carried out in accordance with section A-V/1 of the STCW, 1978/95 and IMO Model Courses:
1.02 – Specialized training for work on Oil Tankers
1.04 – Specialized training for work on Chemical tankers
1.06 –Specialized training for work on Liquefied gas tankers
In OMTC also are carried out courses:
- “Crude Oil Washing”
- “Inert Gas System”
Trainee successfully completed these courses will be issued with appropriate certificates.These courses meets the mandatory minimum requirements stated in Regulation A-V/1, paragraphs 10, 12 of STCW CODE 95.“The Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator” is used during the courses to simulate and control real ship situations. “Specialized training for personnel working on Liquefied gas tankers” training course starts every week. Registration on this course is conducted in room 202.
