Risk Assessment
This course provides training for masters, chief engineers, officers and any person on board a ship with immediate responsibility for all operations, which could involve into hazards. It comprises a specialized training program appropriate with their duties, formal safety assessment (FSA), the risk assessment process, identifying hazards, implementation existing preventive measures, effective control of hazards, risk evaluation, likelihood estimation and consequences, examples of Risk Matrixes (4 x 4, 4 x 5 and 6 x 6 levels), Managing the Risks process, Prevention of risk Process. FSA methodology is given in details. Monitor and Review, Record Keeping and Update are also given in details. Summary Risk Assessment Process and Risk Management Process are shown as one flexible system having Feedback between them. This course is open to seafarers who have completed the Specialized (ship type) training program in accordance with regulation V/1 of the STCW 95 Code; they shall be issued with an appropriate certificate. Persons successfully completing this course receive the appropriate certificate.“Risk Assessment Management”training course starts every week. Registration on this course is conducted in room 114.
