Automatic identification system

The course “Automatic identification system” aims to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for the training of masters and officers using of AIS equipment. The program of the course includes:

  • suppling masters and officers with the information on the concept of AIS
  • acquaintance with the requirements of the Chapter 5 " Navigational safety " the Conventions for the safety of life at sea (SOLAS), adopted resolution by IMO MSC.99 (73) from December 5, 2000
  • giving of minimum skills on usage directly of AIS equipment and its configuration with other radio-navigational equipment for good safety shipping industries

Persons successfully completing this course receive the appropriate certificate. Training course “Automatic identification system” starts every week. Registration on this course is conducted in room 114.
