Electronic Chart Display and Information System
The course is developed for masters and is created on the basis of IMO Model Course 1.27 “Operational use of Electronic Chart Display and Information System”. The course ECDIS covers studying of raster and vector charts, planning and tracing of routes, electronic catalogues of charts and navigational publications, correction of electronic charts and catalogues in automatic and electronic modes. It also covers use of primary and secondary radar information, information on tides in all ports of the world, information from sailing directions, lights and shapes. During the training such simulators are used as Russian (Morintex) and British (Transas Marine, UK) ones. The work with ARPA is also possible. Persons successfully completing this course receive the appropriate certificate.
Training course “Electronic Chart Display and Information System” starts every week. Registration on this course is conducted in room 114.
